PETERBOROUGH, ON - Ricky's All Day Grill, in partnership with the Peterborough Petes, have announced Petes' veteran defenceman Jamie Doornbosch as they Ricky's All Day Grill Petes Player of the Week for the week ending November 2nd, 2009. For his accomplishments, Jamie receives a gift certificate for Ricky's All Day Grill.
Doornbosch, a native of Richmond Hill, ON, continued his strong play this weekend as he battles for the top scoring defenceman in the Ontario Hockey League. His two goals and three assists in three games played pushes Jamie into second among all defenceman with twenty points, just five back of Cam Fowler of the Windsor Spitfires. Jamie is coming off a strong campaign with the maroon and white last season where he scored a career high thirty-seven points in sixty-four games. A strong candidate to return in his overage year, Jamie plays as half of the number one defensive pairing with partner Adam Sedlak.
