PETERBOROUGH, ON - A hurricane touched down at Holy Cross Secondary School Wednesday afternoon. The Holy Cross Hurricanes started the year off on a positive note with a 3-0 sweep of the Adam Scott Lions in senior boys volleyball action yesterday.
The Hurricanes were led by a strong offensive performance by both Cory Barker and Pete Manser. Both players are returnees from last years Hurricane's team and will look to be a major piece in the schools attempt to capture a Kawartha championship.
The Lions were never far off the pace being set by the strong Hurricanes squad. With three tight games, it serves as a good first step for the Lions as they attempt to build on a strong season last year.
Good luck to both teams as they pursue the championship this season.
