PETERBOROUGH, ON – Ricky’s All Day Grill, in partnership with the Peterborough Petes, have announced Petes’ veteran forward and the Buckhorn Bandit, Justin Larson as the Ricky’s All Day Grill Petes Player of the Week for the week ending January 18, 2010. For his accomplishments, Justin receives a gift certificate for Ricky’s All Day Grill. Larson, a Buckhorn, ON native, scored five points including three goals to go along with his two assists to lead the maroon and white in scoring over their three game weekend. His five points on the weekend saw him shoot up the scoring charts for the Petes as he now sits with nine goals and fourteen assists, leaving him just nine points behind rookie Matt Puempel for fifth place. His success comes on the heels of being moved up to the third line alongside Jack Walchessen and Mike Lomas. Justin has also seen his time on the Petes second power play unit increase with the departure of Zack Kassian via trade.
