PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Peterborough Petes could not overcome the odds last night as they fell victim to an 8-0 decision at the hands of the host Ottawa 67's.
Playing with just fifteen skaters and two goalies, the Petes were put at a disadvantage from the very beginning. The 67's led 2-0 after the first period, 4-0 after the second period, then scored four more against the tired maroon and white for the 8-0 decision.
The Petes will hope to revenge their loss tonight when they play host to the 67's in the second of the home-and-home series. This will be the Petes final game before the Christmas Break. Puck drops at 7:05PM at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
